One of the beauties of Bali is the sense of elongated time. The days and the nights seem twice as long as back home, and instead of feeling life is quickly slipping away it seems that life is extended. Nothing is too much trouble when you have so much time. We have only been here 4 days … and yet it seems much longer. I recommend everyone take the time for an island get away 🙂
So we are living a combination of basic living, luxury and modern technologies. We are living is this beautiful house on a beautiful island, eating beautiful fruits. We have 2 cups, 2 bowls, 2 plates, a couple of pans … and as you’ve heard no can opener 😛
We sleep under a sheet and are keeping our diet & lifestyle basic and simple.
Amongst this ease of life we fiddle around here at apple central, shifting from iPhone, to mac to iPad. The iPad has proven itself valuable while we laze in the hammock. Last night it impressed Justin as we played monopoly on it. I won … it was a devastation 🙂
This morning Justin made banana pancakes, I chopped up papaya and squeezed lemon juice over it and we drank green tea … all after having had a morning swim. (Jealous yet?)
We have organised our scooter bike … Justin has now disappeared for a practice lesson … I am quietly itching to get on and drive it myself 🙂 but probably only in the small local streets … still not sure how I’ll go at intersections … those of you that have been to Bali will know why.
My sister, brother in-law and niece all arrived in Legian last night. I look forward to seeing them. We have a bank appointment tomorrow and I have another dentist visit the day after that …. at least I think that’s when it is … hard to keep track of the days 🙂
